"Little Piece of Leather" or "I'm a Little Piece of Leather" was recorded previously by jazzsinger Stella Brooks on the Folkways label in 1946. Stella claimed that she wrote it, adapted from the public domain. Donnie Elbert's version came little. Peetie Wheatstraw did a version that probably pre-dated Stella. As a fan of Stella, who died in 2002 but will be remembered next month when she turns 100, I am still trying to find the audio to this, supposedly a :38 second riff while rehearsing or learning or working up Octopus' Garden.

I think that "Child of Nature" should be "On the road to Rishikesh" instead of "On the road to Marrakesh"

"Rishikesh" in the song changed to "Marrakesh" in January 1969, which is what the list is referring to. He called the song "On the Road to Marrakesh" during the Get Back sessions. In the 1980 Playboy interview, he referred to it as "I'm Just a Child of Nature."

its likely that the Beatles wrote the song White Power after listening to a British Black Panther Party rally which often ended with "black power to black people, brown power to brown people, red power to red people, yellow power to yellow people and white power to white people" This was to strengthen the bonds between all people. This song is a testament of the times. There were Black Panther Party's in America, UK, Israel, Australia, New Zealand, Algeria and India.
